This Privacy Policy explains how GuysTouch, operated from Switzerland, collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What We Collect
- Account data: email, password (hashed), display name, date of birth (for 18+ verification)
- Profile data: photos, bio, preferences, specialties, experience level, optional location you choose to share
- Location data: approximate location for the map (obfuscated to roughly 1 mile / 2 decimal places when shown publicly)
- Messages: content of messages exchanged with other Users (encrypted at rest)
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, timestamps, log data
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Chargebee); we do not store full card details
3. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Basis)
- To provide the Platform (contract performance)
- To verify you are 18+ (legal obligation)
- To maintain safety, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms (legitimate interest)
- To send transactional emails (contract) and, with your consent, marketing emails
- To comply with legal requests from Swiss authorities
4. Privacy by Default — Location Obfuscation
Public map and feed locations are obfuscated to roughly 1 mile (2 decimal places) so your exact address is never exposed. Sensitive profile fields are hidden from unauthenticated visitors.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers processing data on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, payments) under data-processing agreements
- Other Users, to the extent your profile and messages are intentionally shared
- Authorities, when required by Swiss law or valid legal request
6. International Transfers
Some service providers may be located outside Switzerland or the EEA. Transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).
7. Retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for legal, accounting, or safety reasons. Deleted accounts are purged from active systems; backups are rotated within 90 days.
8. Your Rights
Subject to Swiss and (where applicable) EU law, you have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@guystouch.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and a minimal set of analytics cookies (privacy-respecting, no cross-site tracking).
10. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, strict access controls (row-level security), and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; you use the Platform at your own risk.
11. Children
The Platform is for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Platform or via email.
